National Launch System - a new launch system 1992?

This document is a set of viewgraphs which describe a new launch system of the U.S. NLS which will address the needs of NASA and the U.S. Dept. of Defense in that it will launch a more reliable, operable, and lower cost vehicle, its is an alternative to the shuttle and Titan, and will enable the next step in space exploration. It is also a strategy to compete with the foreign market which in the 1980s had more market share for space launches and payloads that the U.S.
